Changan, a prominent Chinese automaker, showcased its highly anticipated electric vehicle, the Lumin, at the Pakistan Auto Show 2024 (PAPS). While the Lumin generated excitement, it was only a display model and won’t be launching in the near future. Master Changan has yet to determine the price or release date for this vehicle.
Interior and Seating Capacity
The Lumin accommodates up to four passengers with comfortable fabric seats. The front passenger seat can be easily folded and slid forward using a lever, providing convenient access to the rear. The cabin is designed for convenience, featuring a rearview mirror with integrated lighting, a multifunctional electronic power steering wheel, a 12-volt power outlet, and USB ports at both the front and rear for easy device charging.
On the tech side, the Lumin boasts a 7-inch LCD driving information display and a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay for effortless connectivity. Additional conveniences include keyless entry, push start, and a smart key.
Launch and Availability
The Changan Lumin showcased at PAPS is a Completely Built Unit (CBU), imported for the event to assess consumer interest. Changan officials have noted that while there are no immediate plans for a full market launch, the Lumin could potentially be available as a locally assembled unit, depending on market demand and infrastructure development. However, no specific launch date or pricing details have been confirmed.
